Cute nostalgic hole in the wall family restaurant. Gives you the before technology vibes. So simple and food is great! 1 server 1 cook and they were amazing! Love these types of mom & pop shops. Better to support these small business & get your monies worth for food.

$36.14 for eggs, hash browns, the fluffiest and most delicious pancakes, oatmeal, coffee, and tea--an absolute steal! The service was quick, and the food was fantastic. It's been ages since I've had pancakes this good--I highly recommend ordering them!
I have been living in this area 5 years and never noticed Mandy's!!! Such a lovely family restaurant- everyone I encounter tested had a wonderful attitude and was very nice- The vibe is old school family diner ( love it) The food was delicious and the prices were great. It kind of made me feel like cheers ( very homey and family oriented/ everybody knows your name) I have decided to make Mandy's my new favorite neighborhood breakfast spot. Will definitely come back!!!
Always on the lookout for good chicken-fried steak and got a tip that this old-school diner serves a good one. Stopped in this morning and Mandy's Family Restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. Subbed the biscuit & gravy for toast, ordered eggs over easy, and opted for hash-browns over home-fried potatoes. Mandy's makes its gravy and biscuits from scratch. That first bite of meat, gravy, egg, and biscuit- heavenly! There's a place near my office that serves a solid chicken-fried steak. Mandy's is a bit of a drive, but their version is just superior. So, I'll be driving out of my way when the next craving for CFS hits- totally worth it. Great job, Mandy's! Bon Appétit!
First time here. I had the breakfast special: 2 Pork chops, 2 eggs, home fries ,2 pancakes. Absolutely love it. Clean restaurant, easy to park. Thank you. Definitely come back again if I'm around the area.
One of the best breakfast spots in Hawthorne. I would classify Mandy's as a Country Diner for multiple reasons. It feels like you're eating in someone's house vs a 50's car-centered diner, and I mean that in a positive way. It's very homely and you can tell it's the sort of place that is filled with regulars and travelers alike. I am a huge fan of diners and was excited to eat as soon as I saw the inside. It's a true classic diner in all senses of the word. It's quite large on the inside and they have plenty of indoor only seating options. They have booths, tables, and counter seating. There is a large free parking lot attached so parking is easy and plentiful. Our server was very polite and she was very fast with the refills. Just like any classic diner they have a lot of great options on their large menu plus a rotating list of daily specials. I started off the meal with a cup of coffee, per usual, and it was tasty and strong. For my meal I chose my favorite breakfast dish: the Eggs Benedict. It was very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The ham was thick and cooked to a perfect temperature. As a side I chose one biscuit topped with gravy and it was fantastic. It was a true thick, flaky, old-school biscuit and it went quickly. Overall I was very impressed. I live up in West LA so am not in this area often, but I would stop in again next time I am down in the area and would certainly suggest to anyone in the area of heading to it.
Classic American diner in Hawthorne. Came here with a friend on a weekday morning and there was no wait. Free parking available in their lot. We split the breakfast burrito and breakfast chorizo skillet. We got a side of sourdough bread with the skillet and breakfast potatoes with our burrito. Food came out quickly and the waiter was really nice. Plenty of indoor booth seating and the meals were hearty (albeit oily). They do have a healthy menu available if you're counting calories. Credit cards are accepted.
